Miss Nevada Alana Lee Gives recognition to (me!) Kelli Miller

Judith August, Founder Judith August Cosmetics, recently spent some time with Alana Lee, Miss Nevada 2011.  She asked Alana about her Miss Nevada experience and how she looks so good on and off the stage.

Judith:  Did you do your own make-up for the evening?

Alana: I did. I have a wonderful friend named Kelli Miller who has taught me everything I know about make-up. It’s priceless knowledge but the actual make-up comes with a price tag unfortunately! Thank goodness for sponsors who continue to help me afford these expenses.

Road Trip: Attending Miss America!

Going to Miss America tomorrow with my Mom Barbara Reynolds Calaway & Cheyenne Mellor to cheer for my good friend and client Miss Nevada Alana Lee!! I am so excited to attend! Everyone can watch the pagent tomorrow on ABC.

Thanks to Nevada Senator John Jay Lee (Alana Lee's Dad) for giving us girls tickets! What a great family!

Braides are Hot for Weddings & Prom

My new favorite updo! Anyone who knows me knows that I love beautiful braided hair! Specially when I have second day and but want a cute updo. Braiding hair on second day hair is the best! On many wedding hair updo's I will dirty up the hair first with dry shampoo or schwartzcraft dust powder. So when Courtney Greene taught a class on Wedding & Prom hair I fell in love with this one. Thanks Court

Miss Nevada Alana Lee's Trunk Show

I was hired to do the hair and makeup for Miss Nevada's Trunk Show. She waited to touch up her roots and color her hair until a week before Miss America. Last week we cut and colored her hair these photos are just a few of the final event. I didn't want to show her Miss America wardrobe until after Miss America. Watch on ABC this week!!

Miss Dixie going to Miss Utah

My most recent work beside working Vegas was doing makeup for Miss Utah contestant Miss Dixie Alana Lee. Here are some photos of her head shots that she will be using for this up and coming Miss Utah competition. Alana looks beautiful! Like I always says "Making beautiful people look beautiful make my job easy!" Alana lee is definitely a classic beauty!

Ginger Jensen and her family are great to work with! They are so funny, we were laughing the whole time. Ginger is such a great girl with a wonderful personality, and I can see where she get its from. Ginger's Mother and Sister are so lively and comical. Good Luck Ginger!

Karman Wilson Miss Washington County Fair Scholarship Director

Karman Wilson is the Director for the Miss Washington County Fair Scholarship Organization.

For any of you girls who are wanting to compete you all should! Karman is a very intellectual and bright woman who has much to offer any girl thinking about trying out for Miss Utah.

 On Karman we did false eyelashes and contoured the eyelid which made for a beautiful photo.

Miss America Commercial & Photoshoot

Added new photos of Miss Nevada 2011 Alana Lee. I was the stylist for her cut, style and makeup. Watch Miss America for Dixie State College's commercial about Alana Lee. After the commercial shoot Alana Lee had a photoshoot with Photographer A.J. Mellor. Thanks to everyone involved for making that day rock!!
